Federal prosecutors are reportedly considering expanding the criminal case against Lil Durk and members of his Only the Family collective, potentially adding new allegations tied to earlier violent incidents.
According to a recent court filing cited by AllHipHop, lawyers representing codefendant Deandre Wilson claimed prosecutors informed defense teams that additional charges could be introduced by early June.
The filing reportedly states that prosecutors are reviewing two separate incidents allegedly connected to Durk and OTF.
One of the cases involves the 2022 fatal shooting of Stephon Mack in Chicago. Although Durk has never been formally charged in that matter, previous unsealed documents reportedly referenced investigators linking him to the incident.
The second alleged incident relates to a 2019 Atlanta shooting for which Durk previously faced felony charges including attempted murder and aggravated assault.
Those charges were later dropped by prosecutors in 2022 despite investigators reportedly determining probable cause existed for arrest.
Durk’s legal team previously argued prosecutors had improperly connected him to the case through associations with other individuals involved in the shooting.
The rapper is currently facing federal murder-for-hire charges connected to the 2022 killing of Saviay’a Robinson, also known as Lul Pab, the cousin of rapper Quando Rondo.
Federal prosecutors allege the attack was retaliation linked to the 2020 death of King Von, a close associate of Durk and fellow OTF member.
Authorities claim Durk financed and coordinated travel arrangements for several alleged participants in the Los Angeles shooting.
Durk has pleaded not guilty and remains in custody awaiting trial in California.
Lawyers for Wilson argued in their filing that introducing additional allegations at this stage could significantly complicate the upcoming trial process by triggering further discovery, hearings and legal motions.
They also argued the proposed allegations have no direct connection to Wilson and should not justify continued detention for their client.
The legal developments come amid growing public attention surrounding Durk’s case, which has already experienced multiple delays.
Federal prosecutors previously confirmed they would not pursue the death penalty against the rapper if convicted.
Born Durk Devontay Banks, Lil Durk rose to prominence as one of the pioneers of Chicago drill music and became one of the genre’s most commercially successful artists through projects such as Signed to the Streets and Remember My Name.
Outside the current federal case, the rapper has faced several previous legal controversies over the years, including firearm charges and separate allegations linked to shootings in Chicago and Atlanta.
