Rapper Lil Nas X is officially in a relationship with ‘someone special’ and he believes he’s found ‘the one’ after being in relationships with men he says were ’emotionally unavailable’ for him.
The multi-award winning 22-year-old revealed he has a new boyfriend and believes he has made the right decision this time around.
He said, “I’ve had some good boyfriends and some bad ones. A lot of them were emotionally unavailable or had a lot of insecurity and whatnot. I’ve found someone special now. I think this is the one. I can’t explain it- it’s just a feeling.”
The Old Town Road rapper spoke about discovering he was gay when he was young and crushing on his half sister’s cousin.
“I had feelings for my half sister’s cousin- we have different dads. I was like, ‘Oh, my God, he’s really cute,’ and thought that about a lot of other boys my age,” he said.
He also opened up about accepting his gay nature in his teenage years.
“Once I was 17 or 18, I finally accepted (I was gay)- like, for sure accepted it, slowly, more and more and now I’ve grown into a person that is 100 open with it,” he added.
This is not the first time Lil Nas X has opened up about his relationship status. Last year in October the Montero rapper revealed he was in a relationship with someone but wanted to keep it a ‘mystery’.
