Rapper Cardi B revealed she is pregnant with her second child during a performance at the BET Awards last night (27 June).
The “WAP” rapper used her performance at the Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theatre with the group Migos to show off her baby bump. She rocked the stage in a diamante-studded outfit, which had a cut out section on the belly, clearly revealing her bump.
Shortly after the performance she confirmed the announcement via an Instagram post simply captioned #2. The couple are parents to daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus who was born in July of 2018.
When the show returned from an advertisement break after her performance, host Taraji P Henson joked: “Cardi B and Offset, giving us life – literally.”
During the award ceremony Cardi scooped two awards, the best video and best collaboration for her song WAP with Megan Thee Stallion.
Megan Thee Stallion was the biggest winner of the night, driving away with four gongs, including two for WAP. She was awarded the best female hip hop artist and this was the second year in a row. She also got an award in the viewer’s choice category for her collaboration with Beyoncé in the song Savage.
The BET Awards also honored the late actor Chadwick Boseman as he was named the best actor. He was also honored in the memoriam segment alongside the likes of Shock G, Jonny Nash, Anthony Chisholm, MF Doom, Bert Belasco, Carol Sutton, Charley Pride, Hank Aaron, Mary Wilson, Clarence Williams III and Bunny Wailer.
