Rapper Cardi B has slammed Kentucky Attorney General for mentioning Breonna Taylor during his speech at the Republican National Convention, saying his brief mention of the slain 26-year-old was a “slap in the face”.
Taylor was shot while sleeping next to her current boyfriend in the early hours of March 13. The couple had heard a noise as police executed a no-knock search warrant.
They both got up and walked to the door and Taylor’s boyfriend fired a warning shot, mistaking police for intruders. Police returned fire, killing Taylor.
So far Cameron has not charged the three officers who killed Taylor.
“Even as anarchists mindlessly tear up American cities while attacking police and innocent bystanders, we Republicans do recognize those who work in good faith towards peace, justice and equality,” Cameron said Tuesday at the RNC.

“Whether you are the family of Breonna Taylor or David Dorn, these are the ideals that will heal our nation’s wounds. Republicans will never turn a blind eye to unjust acts, but neither will we accept an all-out assault on Western civilization,” he continued.
Cardi B took exception to Cameron’s speech, accusing Kentucky AG of a great betrayal.
“This is such a slap in the face,” she wrote on Instagram. “Like damn my nikka not once have you said nothing about the arrest of the officers that killed Breonna Taylor, not once have you shown effort of bringing justice to Breonna Taylor and here you are at the podium of the Republican conventions talkin bout justice, America and all this bullshit. You sooo blinded by your MASTERS that you don’t even notice that their using you as a Pawn to trigger YOUR OWN KIND ! Never would they ever had you up there if you wasn’t in charge of Breonna Taylor case.”
