Barbadian superstar Rihanna continues to tease fans about her upcoming new album, telling a follower on Instagram that her much anticipated latest offering had been “lost”.
The singer has come under increasing pressure in recent months to release her new album, titled R9, with fans growing impatient about the delayed release of the new effort.
The musician released her last album, Anti, four years ago.
While she has featured in albums by N.E.R.D, Kendrick Lamar and PartyNextDoor, since then, the musician has seemed to take a particular liking to teasing her fans about the much anticipated release of the album in recent months.
“WHERES THE ALBUM,” one follower commented, on an Instagram post in which she was advertising the latest in Fenty Eyewear. That particular poster has since amassed more than 3,000 likes. Replying to that inquiry, Rihanna said, “I lost it.”
Rihanna has kept her fans in suspense recently about when R9 will actually be released.
“I can’t say when I’m going to drop,” the megastar recently told British Vogue. “But, I am very aggressively working on music.”
