Ellen DeGeneres is struggling with a string of accusations from staffers and show guests claiming she is actually mean and ill tempered behind the scenes.
The talk show host has found herself at the nasty end of constant backlash, particularly on social media, as backroom staffers and guests accuse her of nastiness.
‘Ellen is at the end of her rope,’ the unnamed source close to the 62-year-old told UsWeekly on Wednesday.
“She thought this was all just sour grapes from a few haters. But it’s not a passing thing — the hits just keep coming,” the source added.
Rumours of DeGeneres’ alleged unpleasant behaviour began to circulate after people claiming to be her ex-employees came forward with their experiences with the host on social media.
The rumours also gained traction after comedian Kevin T Porter told Twitter he would donate $2 to a food bank in Los Angeles for every one his followers repeated about the host, whom he branded “notoriously one of the meanest people alive”.
Meanwhile, beauty influencer Nikkie de Jager, who appeared on her talk show in January, claimed DeGeneres was particularly “cold” and gave preferential treatment to A-list guests.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show recently came under fire from its own crew who received severe pay cuts while Ellen hosted the at-home show with non-union staff during lockdown.
