Drake’s father, Dennis Graham, has weighed in on the beef involving the wordsmith and fellow rappers Kendrick Lamar and Future, saying that those looking to beef with the Canadian rapper were only doing so to boost their record sales.

Drake has been in the eye of the storm, ever since Future and producer Metro Booming released a song, Like That, in which Kendrick seems to take shots at Drake and J Cole. There is also speculation in the rap that Drake and Future are currently embroiled in a feud over a woman.

In a tongue in cheek post on Instagram, Graham seemed to suggest that the feuds with his son were inspired by a desire to sell more records by his competitors.

“Yo I am about to drop some new music and I am not sure if it’s going to sell. But I am going to call some of my homies and get them start a beef with Drake and get them to unfollow him and that’s going make my s**t shoot up to number 1.

“I’m sure this is going to work so let me get some people on board for this and watch what kind of attention this gets!!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL BE NUMBER ONE 1Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!”he posted.

This is not the first time Graham has found himself at the centre of his son’s rap beef. In 2018, he was famously called by rapper Pusha T on the infamous diss song The Story of Adidon, as he rapped: “Dennis Graham, stay off the ‘gram.”

In response, Graham told TMZ that he did not know the rapper.

“I don’t know Pusha T. I don’t know anything about anybody named Pusha T. If I did, I would push their T,” he said.
