Toni Braxton has denied that she was one of former basketball superstar Dennis Rodman’s string of famous women in the 90s, after pictures of the two together surfaced during an airing of another episode of ESPN’s The Last Dance.

The Last Dance chronicles Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls, of which Rodman was a vital cog, as they went on their historic quest for a second 3-peat during the 1997/98 NBA season.

Viewers of the highly anticipated documentary series were taken down memory lane, as the spotlight was turned not on just Rodman’s heroics on the court but also his eccentric, party-fueled lifestyle off it.

Braxton, with whom he was shown cozying up to in a series of photos posted to social media on Monday following the airing of the third installment of the docu-series, was just one of several high profile women that Rodman was linked with.

People posted photos of not just Rodman and Braxton but others of the NBA superstar with pop stars Madonna, actress Vivica Fox and his ex wife Carmen Electra.

Braxton took to Twitter to clarify the context under which the pictures were taken.

“Even though @dennisrodman was kinda hot in the 90s, I never dated Dennis Rodman. We were at the VMAs.”

The documentary also showed how Rodman, who was highly valued for rebounding and defensive abilities, once had to be pulled out of his Vegas bed by Jordan after a night of hard partying.

Episode 3 from 9-10 PM ET averaged 6.1 million viewers, with episode 4 from 10-11 PM averaging 5.7 million, according to Nielsen, playing across ESPN and ESPN2.

Overall, ESPN said that combined with last week’s premiere episodes, the series was the four most-viewed original content broadcasts on ESPN networks since 2004.
