A wedding planner who is battling Beyonce over the ‘Blue Ivy’ trademark is rehashing a years-old conspiracy theory that claims the legendary singer is linked with the illuminati and claims in court documents this was hurting her brand.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Veronica Morales is locked in a two year battle with Beyonce over her attempts to trademark “Blue Ivy” — both the name of Bey’s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, and Morales’ wedding planning company.
Her argument is that Beyonce tried to trademark the name when she (Morales) was already using it. With the case said to be going to trial, the woman has upped the ante by filing arguments that rumors that Beyonce secretly worships Satan are hurting her brand.
Beyonce says she filed the trademark because: “Blue Ivy Carter is a cultural icon who has been described as a ‘mini style star’ and has been celebrated for her ‘fashion moments’ over the years. Her life and activities are followed extensively by the media and the public.”
Morales has countered this however saying; “With all due respect, Blue Ivy Carter definitely is not a cultural icon. That would be someone like Benjamin Franklin, Elvis Presley or Marilyn Monroe. Celebrities need to follow the law like everyone else.”
She is also using a Vanity Fair magazine interview in which Jay Z said his wife only filed the trademark to prevent people profiting off their child’s name and had no intention of using it themselves. Beyonce has given her response to this stating;
“This is untrue, because Mr. Carter has a very close relationship with BGK, being the husband of its manager and sole member, the singer Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, and the father of their daughter Blue Ivy Carter.”
Morales also claimed that undying rumors that Blue Ivy’s parents are members of an evil, underground secret society is apparently causing further harm to her business.
“Many members of the general public believe the Carter’s are members of the so-called ‘Illuminati’ and the name of their daughter spelled backwards is “Eulb Yvi” which in Latin is translated to ‘Lucifer’s Daughter.”
Previously Beyonce claimed that Morales offered her a $10 million deal to buy her business also named, Blue Ivy.
She says when their teams met, the wedding planner’s legal representatives “gave a long speech” on how the opposition should be treated as an “opportunity for a business relationship rather than an adversarial proceeding.”
